Well, yeah. That's what I use MED for: coding/typing and Project Management. It's fast, it was easy to learn, and it suited my needs.
I'm not interested in learning VIM. It would be a waste of effort on my part.
MED has all I need. Regexp search & replace, textlib's, syntax highlighting and customizable toolbars for compilation/decompilation or running whatever program is needed.
I'm sure VIM has these as well, but I downloaded it, played around with it for half an hour, and then promptly uninstalled it. I'm not saying that it's a bad program, it's just not for me.
