Error handling..

I would like to know how I could make my own custom error get spit out on my scripts! And be able to, by changing a number or something, have it spit out either a something like "ERROR" with one number and then a fully detial error with a different number! Make sense?

I haven't delved much into this kind of thing, but I guess you can start by checking out the php documentation.

Seems to give a fairly detailed example doing this kind of thing.

You could look at the [man]set_error_handler[/man] and [man]trigger_error[/man] functions. The first replaces PHP's usual error response with one of your own, and the latter allows you to define your own error situations. They really get useful when used in combination.
