Installed a forum script (phpbb) the other day and have a slight problem with email notifications. As their own support forum is rather silent on this issue, I thought that I would see if anyone here can shed any light on it.
At the moment, no email notifications are being sent at all. I am using the local mail function. I know this is vague, so here is the confusing background...
I have two virtual servers running on a RAQ4. For simplicity let's call them test.com and live.com. I installed phpbb on test.com and it worked a treat, notifications and all.
Feeling rather pleased I then uploaded phpbb to live.com as well and pointed it at the same mySQL database.
Now, here is the weird bit: 2 forums using the same database, the same files (I literally downloaded from test then uploaded to live) and on the same hardware. Notifications work on 1 but not on the other.
Can anyone give me some pointers as to what sort of thing I should be looking for as this has me stumped?
