CGI Error

I inconsistenly get a cgi error on a redirect after an update of a database row.

Redirect code:
header ("Location: http://xxxxxx.xxxxxxx.xxx/Admin/ServiceStatus/");

The update works; it seems to be soemthing about the how the page is getting built after the redirect. Is there something in the setup of the web server or web browser that I need to change? Or what is the cause of it and do I just need to live with it (not a good option)?

as it's a header code i think it needs to be sent before any HTML - so it must be the first thing to happen on your page. If there's any HTML sent to the page (even a blank space) then the header code wont work, and will give you an error.
