Last week I spent trying to solve a problem but it seems to be a little over me 🙂.
I have to open a connection with a host using imap_open. I have finished my mail client and want to make an option to add another account on the other host.
Unfortunately it it's not working. The problem is not documented anywere (i've search php.net, manual etc.) but imap_open is unable to open connection to remote host. Here I have to explaint two things. First even when I'm connecting to localhost I'm not usign syntax like imap_open ({localhost:110/pop3}, $login, $pass) but with normal host name like imap_open ({host.where.script.is:110/pop3}, $login, $pass). AND THIS IS WORKING JUST FINE, problem is when I'm triing to connect the other host. Second thing is that host parameters are good for sure (i've checked it at least 100 times 😉).
Please help me giving any advise. I'm sure that someone has to face the same problem and solve it (if not by using IMAP functions than how????)
