Need some stuff.. not a clue how to do it

I have a website for a store selling lamps.. first i have the main page.. that lets you goto 2 different categories. Then within those categories you goto the list of all the pictures of the products. Once you are there you can click on each individual pictue to bring up another page to show some detail and price, ect with a link to buy it. What i need is:

When you click the link to buy it, it brings up a form to order it.
What my boss wants is that some of the information from before be carried to the form so the user doesnt have to fill everything in.

Could someone help me do this

(and i know the setup of the site is terrible..but my boss wants it this way)

You could carry values from one page over into the form by assigning variables on the first page with the values and assigning the form fields values equal to the corresponding variables.
such as

Page1

$value1="something";

Page2

<input type="text" name="textfield" value= "<?php print $value1; ?>" >

okay ive got my index page that goes to a page that goes to 2 different places

lamps
chandeliers

inside there lamps goes to a whole bunch of different pages.. like 40

and chandeliers is much less.

inside those pages.. there is the item number, price and description.. which are all in text form. and i have a link to the order page..

what i want to happen is the item number, price and description and a little picture of the item, be transfered over to the order page

and also is there a better (easy)way to do this than have a seperate webpage for each product?
