Session help

I am working on a trouble ticket type of program and I need to use a session variable. I need to be able to kill that variable in 2 situations:
1. If the rep prematurely ends the session
2. If the rep reaches a solution to the problem and receives a reference number.

By prematurely kills the session, do you mean closes the browser? If so, that should be automatic. The second scenario just means that after you have gone through the motions of getting the number, adn everything is complete, you want to close the session with session_destroy();

I also need it to die if they just leave the page(ie. click the home button or visits a different site). I wonder if I could just kill the session before I start a fresh one on the first page. And if so what would the syntax look like.
