Solution is this...

$newtxt = preg_replace(\"<a target=_new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href=\"([^\"]+)\">([^<]+)</a>\",\"[ URL=\\1]\\2[/URL ]\",$thetext);

$string = preg_replace("/\[img\](.*?)\[\/img\]/si", "<img src=\"\\1\" border=\"0\">", $string);

remove the space on the first [email ] tag.
