hi guys

yah i know ... the dark side and all that ... i did all of it except one line:

request.ServerVariables("LOCAL_ADDR")

i cant find what the equivalent php thing is ... or isnt there one? it seems to be related to server clusters and i dont know if php supports that yet?

$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']

so do this

print gethostbyname($_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']);

Is that the local address of the server running the asp script?

If so, then try $_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR'];

If not, then I'm not sure.

yes, this will return the ip addy of the server that the script is running on.

print gethostbyname($_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']);

also if you want sme help a friend of mine made a applciation called ASP2PHP. this will not convert everything but will help you convert your scripts eaiser..
