Is there a limit to the number of cookies you can set, & if so, how do I change it?

This is an educated guess:

you can store as many cookies as you so desire until the users' browser decides that you have transferred too much information (some browsers have a limit on the amount of data that can be transferred with a webpage), or the users' computer can't store anymore cookies (this would be millions or billions of cookies, i'd imagine).

this is from netscape's cookie specification (not sure if all browsers follow it though):

300 total
20 per domain

changing it? I don't think there is any way.
