textarea to a .txt file

I have searched these boards and found very little help maybe this hasn't been described much yet.

What I'm wanting to do is insert text into a textarea and have a text input box where i can give it a filename. After clicking submit, it will save the contents of the textarea as the filename entered into the input box. Any ideas on how to do this? This is going to be a for FAQ guides for video games.

Ok i have figured out i have to use fwrite but i dont understand how to make a field where i can type in video_game_guide.txt then in textarea put "blah blah blah" and it will save video_game_guide.txt with "blah blah blah" in the file.

I came upon your post in my own search for fwrite.
You need to have a text box above your textarea to type in the filename. This is your filename to use for the fwrite and the contents of the file would be the texarea contents.
But you will have to be careful with this filename, as you could overwrite any other file with the same name.
