Dynamic Form w/ Image

Hi- I've searched the forums, but can't seem to find an answer (even close) to what I'm looking for. Here's the deal...

I have a drop down menu with a list of things in it. When a user selects 'x' I want to show a picture of 'x' next to the drop down. If they change their mind and want 'y', I want to show a picture of 'y'. I need to do this dynamically w/o reloading the page.

Kind of like mousing over a link and showing an image in a remote position on the page.

Can this be done?

i did something like that a long time ago, i used javascript.

search any javascript site and i'm sure you'll find something there.
