I would like to have a "send this article to a friend" button in my pages. Is it doable through mail() -I mean, is it the best way? And should I check for anything (permissions etc.) with my ISP? Thanks in advance,

the mail() function should work fine on almost all isps. this will suite your needs just fine. it'll be quick and easy to set up. 🙂
