I'm trying to do an organisational chart for my intranet based on an employees table, and each employee having a "reports to" field. I was wondering about generating the chart as a gif - something i've not tried before.
Does this sound like a good idea? or is including database results and so on (name generation, possibly even picture inclusion into the org chart gif itself) going to get a little tricky? do you have a better suggestion for how to do it?
