date(), is it just me or....

I've been working on this instant messaging system and all is going well, although the time of each message seems to be the same everytime (16:02)

so i tried this to test:

echo date("H:m");

and it gave me 16:02! hang on i'll refresh it now and see what it says...

16:02!!! and its 16:32

Anyway, how can i stop it from saying the same time. Is it an installation problem?

isn't February the 2nd month of the year? 😉

from the manual:
i - Minutes with leading zeros 00 to 59
m - Numeric representation of a month, with leading zeros 01 through 12
