Woe is me!

At uni i studied ASP, and loved it, thought the code was wicked and enjoyed it, then I starting learning PHP to compare them both and find which I preferred.

Now i'm a graduate looking for a job, everyone seems to want experienced ASP developers when i've been learning PHP!!

I looked back on some ASP I did ages ago and got all mixed up between ASP and PHP. I much prefer PHP now!

Is there any future for PHP developers or should I go back to ASP if I fancy any career 🙁 ????

A quick search on Monster.com produces 454 potential jobs on the keyword "PHP" and over 5000 on keyword "ASP". Go figure.

Maybe you could get in under the guise of being an ASP expert, then switch them to "the dark side" of PHP when they aren't looking. Hey, it could work!

ASP is disgusting... last time I checked it was a BASIC style language. Nothing bothers me more than seeing: IF.. THEN... and ENDIF written in code.

Then again, Microsoft are pushing .NET now ... allegedly it won't matter what language you use.
