Tying in an email discussion list with MySql

I'm looking for help or already done scripts on how to integrate an email discussion list with a backend of MySql for the list. In other words when someone sends an email to an address, it gets sent out to a group that is determined by a MySql query. I would not be opposed to using majordomo or someother similar solution, I just need the query to come out of mysql..
