I personally like the "Hacker" dialect that changes the word "girl" to "hot babe" (among other changes).

And the only "Swedish Chef" I know is the one from the muppets.

Actually, the thing stems from a thread on the freebsd-chat mailinglist, where they're arguing about the appropriateness of running the GNU General Public License through the "jive" filter and posting it in public. Several folks (who may be of Afro-American origin) have taken exception. Several others think, "no big deal." One asked if Swedes were offended by using the "Swedish Chef" filter, and in the context someone pointed out this link, which seems to indicate that Jim Henson modeled the Muppet character from a real life example.....
