a simple search sistem, how to

Hello ppl,
I want now to alow visitors to search in my news, on my site www.sibiul.ro I have daily news, and I think it's verry usefull to a have a search option to.
What I'm asking from you is to give me a little help on this and tell me how should I start, what I must do with the string that ppl are looking for, because I don't think it's working if I make a simple SELECT QUERY WHERE ....

I'm not sure, but i guess you need something like this:

$search=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM your_news_table WHERE your_news_text_filed LIKE '$search_term'");

I know that, but I think I will need to breack words and search every for every word... What will happent if I make a guery like this
select from newz where content = ' the searched words'

and in my newz table, in content column i have only these words :the words, without "searched" ? I think no result will be shown.
