Testing for a module / library

I am looking for the answer to a perplexing question. I am working on my first major PHP project, and in order to fufill it's requirements, I need to be able to use certain libraries and modules that can be compiled into PHP. Does anyone know how to test for the different modules, and libraries? In specific, those I need to test for is DBX, (PHP's internal database abstraction layer), GD, and the extra encryption libraries.

I would be appreaciative, of any who can help me with this matter...

In some ways I feel like an idiot now... 😃

I didn't even stop to think about checking out the PHP Manual... Especially since it is where I learned of the extensions I need to use in the first place... C Next stupid question... You wouldn't happen to know where I can get a PDF copy of the PHP manual, would you?

Guess it shows, that this is only about the fifth PHP project I have been involved with, and the only one that I am the lead programmer, and creator on... C I am usually building parts of someone else's work, not my own from the ground floor up... But I guess it goes to show, that we all have to start some where...
