Session ID

Hi, can someone please explain session ID passing to me a bit further, i understand the concept of session ID, but am not sure if i require to explicitly pass them between pages on the site.

I use the session id to link the sesion file to the corresonding page for that particular user. Its just away of ID'ing your user.
