Output data for use in MS Word

Hi all..

I am trying to determine the best solution for this problem. I want to put out a catalog of products, but I also want all these same products to be viewed on the net. I want both to be the same, and easily changed / updated. So I want to build a db, but I don't get how I can output my data so that I can have an easily updated Word. I think I understand the PDF library, but the printer has said they like word format...

Anybody have any ideas, as I would love to make this a php / mysql project...

have you considered using the mail merge tool?

php can easily create the csv type file for the back end with all your product info and you can then use that as the data source for the mail merge

Or... javascript works in with word and php can create the data needed by the javascript

but... I'd do the mail merge every time.

also consider this pdf tool if you decide pdf is the way to go...
