Calculating previous date

Hi,

Here's the situation..

I need to know how to properly calculate the date for yesterday and 2 days ago...

I currently use $today = date("mdy") to get todays date in the format of 022603

WHat I need to do is have another function that will subtract one day off the date and one that will subtract 2 days from the day..

I have tried using the following:
$yesterday = mktime (0,0,0,date("m") ,date("d")-1,date("Y"));

but it outputs the following: 1046332800

whic is obviously not what I need.. 🙁

Can anyone please help a n00b....

Actually, you almost got it. You just need to turn the timestamp into something readable.

Try this ...

<?
$yesterday = mktime (0,0,0,date("m") ,date("d")-2,date("Y")); 
echo date ("l jS",$yesterday);
?>
