checking for http://

Hey,

I need a a function or something that checks the variable
$row->url

for [url]http://[/url] in the begin
if the url doesn't start with [url]http://[/url] it has to put [url]http://[/url] before it.

Maybe somebody can help me on some code to solve this

if (substr($row->url, 0, 7) != "http://")
	{
		$newUrl = "http://" . $row->url;
	}
