PHP and Active Directory

Is it possible to use php to access and manipulate users in Active directory on Windows 2000

it is but i've posted many times on here about it and havent had a great deal of luck with responses - think that not too many people have tried it.

Do a search on here for active directory and you'll probably find a few posts on the matter. But just in case you dont already know, the tools that you're after are called LDAP (lightweight directory access protocol i think), and there's a dll that you need to put in the php.ini to get it to work - i couldnt find it anywhere, until some nice bloke posted it for me (and now i do the same for you).

Thanks I have put that file with all the other DLL's but to no avail, I have pointed an extention to php_ldap.dll, but I keep getting the message module could'nt be found even though it is in the right folder fo the extentions

Could you please give me a few more pointers

i'm afraid not - that's about as far as i got too, and i havent had a call to go back to it yet. You may want to try putting it in your system32 folder, or as i did, pretty much every folder on my system! Basically where your php4ts (or whatever it's called) i think that ldap one should be there too.
