One of my clients wants me to consider learning PERL for creating batch scripts that work with a MS SQL server, from the command prompt of the server.
The only programming I've done so far is scripting with PHP, and I'm wondering if you can do something like this, i.e. something that will work on files or with the database by entering a command prompt line.
