Time Offset

Hello,

I am picking current date using:

$date = date("d-m-Y");

This is returning me date in the desired format, which is 01-03-2003.

My server is located in the timezone which is 11 hours behind my local time, can anyone assist me in settting this time offset, without disturbing the desired format?

i'm not too sure what you mean by settting this time offset.

However, if you mean adding 11 hours to the time and seeing the date, then you could do something like:

$now = date("U")+(60*60*11);
$date = date("d-m-Y",$now);

why don't you try putenv timezones?

I live is Sydney Australia so I put this on every page. (include file).

putenv("TZ=Australia/Sydney");

That will show Sydney's time whenever I use the date() function no matter which server it's on.
