An advnaced Newbie Question

I have a client who is getting a site developed by me and he has an area where potential clients can login to and use his formula to figure out money things (RRSP, etc) so it is math functions. But here is the trick he wants this formula protected. And I was thinking of using php. So if his clients use the view source button they can't see his formula. My quesiotn is can I develop a php page that has the fields to fill in and then have it pass the variables to another php page to do the fomula and then have another page as the output page.

Is this the best way to do it?

Any help or ideas would be great.

yes, that would work just fine. There aree some steps to be able to do something like this:

1. You need a formula
2. You need numbers
3. You need to plug those numbers into the formula
4. Calculate
5. Display (or store)

You have a formula.
The visitor provides the numbers via a form.
You take those numbers and plug them into your formula using php
Calculate using PHP
Display to the visitor
