ftp in local lan

people, maybe anybody knows, what i must to download and to install that will be like this....

i want to use ftp in my local home network, in my home i have 3 pc, and i want that each of user can send to my pc some files trought ftp, and this ftp is ftp server that is installed on my xp windows,

how to make useing of ftp in local network, and what of ftp free program i must to download , which is better

Why do you need FTP on LAN? You got Network Neighborhood - and it's faster than FTP.

anyway I use webattack.com to find good progz. They got a good ratting sistem (i'ts my personal opinion)

I use IIS in my LAN (for moving small files around, large ones take too long so then i go through the network neighborhood). I set up FTP on my server (with win2K, but its basically the same). If you have set up WINS or DNS inside your LAN, all you have to do isuse the computer name you assigned it: enter [url]ftp://[/url][computer] and it will work; for example, my server is named server, so to access it i type [url]ftp://server.[/url] If you don't have WINS of DNS set up (or you don't understand anything i said in the last sentences), then you use the IP of the computer. If you have static IP that you set, then use that like [url]ftp://192.168.0.2[/url] (my server - don't try it cuz its an internal ip and won't work over the internet). If you have static IP's, then use the IP you set it to. I hope that helps you.
