Hi there

When working with a searchfunction on my site, I would like to be able to control the search string.

How do I get around that someone might enter only blank spaces and the retreive all entries as search result?

And if they enter only 1 character get all entries as search result?

to get rid of spaces, use trim() function.

Then if you want a minimum number of characters, count the number of characters in the search string using strlen() function. If it's not enough characters, give them an error.
