server load averages

There are a fairly large collection of PHP scripts that will pull the server load averages calculations from a Unix server, but I am running my Apache server on XP (I know, not the best combination, but it's what I have to work with)

Is there any way of getting a load averages calculation (or something similar) on and Apache Server running under XP?

does anybody know how to do this??

At the very least, how are the load averages in Unix calculated, I might be able to write a non-PHP program to do similar calculations which the PHP script could then read.
