Hi All,
I want to prove that PHP does not discriminate against age.
Let everyone know that age has no factor when it comes to programing.
Marque.
hmm, php came along for me at the end of 97.
html came when I was working as a research assistant at a library in school... one of my friends walked up and said "dude, geocities is giving out free web space!"... I said "dude... what does that mean?" 🙂
About 6months after i finally got a computer. Well that was HTML anyway it was about 1yr later that i started hating HTML cos it couldnt do nothing that i wanted it to.
It was middle of last yr when it came to me to do something server side and after looking at arguments on ASP and PHP i chose PHP. But after a bit more PHP Practice may look at ASP.
I was probably about 13. Of course, I'm only 16 now. 🙂
13... maybe... but that was more of my JavaScript days. 14 was when I really got into it. I'm 15 now, so I guess you could say I haven't been working with it for too long.
I started about a week ago, at age 20 :-)
but I've been playing with web technologies for about 3 years now, both server and client side...
after ASP, PHP is really quite simple... I view it as "CScript"
I've been on the web for ages...since 92. I've been using PHP for 3 years now. I love it so much I started this group:
Web-Programming Professionals
I you love PHP as much as I do, and you love to help others lears it, you should join!
if everything in life would be as easy as PHP 😃
I started 7month ago (age21), tried a lot and now I guess I'm a professional noob (age still 21).
Try this with this c++ or sth similar!
did you have previous programming experience? really, any new programming language is easy to learn and master quickly as long as you come up with projects to do... if you have experience, anyway...
well, got TurboPascal, C++ and Java but nevertheless, PHP has many easy and powerful functions, I don't know a similar language which has so many string or array functions like php, or look at DB-connecting compared to Java's implementation (though even there it's pretty simple)
I started just over a year ago. I'd (kinda) learnt Perl, and thought that PHP would be a far better investment of my time. And I was right. (oh, and Im 21 now)
As the pole shows most of us are teenagers. I have an overwhelming desire to control computers.
But I really like PHP. I know someone who has actually ditched visual basic and develops windows apps in PHP using the windows API. Making nice portable programs.😃
