What's with the noname/nosize $entry of type 'file' in DIR??

I'm creating a MySQL/Dir/HTML templating engine in PHP and am besides myself at what I've run into.

I am in the process of doing the directory portion of my script but I have this wierd entry being passed back from the dir().

It is reporting that the type is 'file' but it has no (blank) name and no filesize().

What is this entity???

I'm developing on WinXp-Pro/Apache 1.3/Php4
