Searching

I would like to add a serch box to my test website. For instance I might have a database which holds makes of cars, I would like to have a search box for entering the make, and then a page returining the results, so if Ford is entered a Ford link is shown.

I have searched the web for something to help me, I wonder if anyone here can point me in the right direction, it can't be that uncommon?

I think i would have a DB called Cars and a table entry called Make, does this sound right? or have I completely missed the point??

Nope you are dead on just read on matching in the mysql manual so you account for partial spelling and maybe even spellinbg mistakes all together.
