I made my own messageboard and I wanted to show who was logged on (like on this messageboard) What would be the best way to do these? I was thinking maybe I could:
1) When the user logs on it submits a new entry to a mySQL database
2) submits userid, timestamp
3) When time stamp is 5 mins old then delete the record.
Is there a better way... Any help would be great!!
