cookie vs. session

There are limitations about how many cookies you can use per site.

How about session? is there a limitations on how many session variables you can assign? session is cookie too, right?

Or no matter how many session variables you use, it is just one cookie?

how about array and cookie? if i save an array with 100 elements, it is one cookie or 100 cookie? or can i save array as cookie?

4)

could anyone give me the good links or advice about the cookie and session issues?

Hi,

1) Yup, session is a part of cookie, aka "temporary or session cookie". It is stored only for your current browsing session, and is deleted from your computer when you close the browser.

2)It beats me 🙂

3)Not sure but my best guess is you could use serialize() to pack the whole bunch of array stuff into one cookie instead of creating 100 cookies.
