Sorry about posting in the PHP section with this question...

What is the maximum number of fields that a MySQL table can have? I need to create a table with over 400 columns... will this work?

Note: I KNOW it's not the best idea, but this is a last resort.

A quick flick thru the manual says no more than 1000 in innoDB tables. That's the only column limit I could see.

I would suggest that if you are designing a table with 400 fields you need to rethink your design.
