I will try to explain this to the best of my ability. My advance apologies for lack of proper terminology or wording.
I have been installing a php-based auction system on my website and I have it working great except for 2 prevalent issues.
(1.)
The main page loads fine and the viewing of all pages is fine but when logging in or out I receive the following messages on an otherwise blank page:
the login message -
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/bidnshop/public_html/phpauction/phpAdsNew/config.inc.php:271) in /home/bidnshop/public_html/phpauction/user_login.php on line 48
the logout message -
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/bidnshop/public_html/phpauction/phpAdsNew/config.inc.php:271) in /home/bidnshop/public_html/phpauction/logout.php on line 8
NOTE: Even though I receive these messages I can successfully log in or out without a problem. This issue happens whether logging into the Auction site or the Administrative back-end interface.
I also just noticed that I got the same message (above) when I went into an account profile to the password and submitted a change.
This leads me to think it has to be something in the login or logout scripts. However, they are unchanged from when I received them and should be fine.
To me, it seems that if the user was re-directed back to the index.php file after login/logout that this error would not occur. I am probably wrong as I am just using common sense.
I did notice that if I just back up one page, the login/logout function has been completed and everything is back to normal.
I have tried to look for errors in the script but I am neither a pro nor should the script be in need of repair as it only needed minor modification to fit my needs.
As I said, the whole set of scripts functions properly except for this and one other thing.
Try the website to see what I mean.
Log in and you will see the error page. Try to sell an item and you will see the second issue which I discuss below.
The website is http://www.bidnshop.com/phpauction/
The username is: buy_computers
The password is: 123456
(2.)
The other thing is that when I try to list an item's picture using the upload function, I will get the following message:
Warning: copy(/www/phpauction/uploaded/960676f232257762f27ced9e9ffb081a.jpg) [function.copy]: failed to create stream: No such file or directory in /home/bidnshop/public_html/phpauction/sell.php on line 162
I have included the code that performs the upload function in a different thread. Here is a link to it:
http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10231196
If I try to link to a picture (jpeg or gif) that is hosted on the web server, it tells me to use only jpeg or gif files even though I did try both.
As I said, I am not a pro so any help would extremely appreciated.
