Hey people.
I'm having an issue that I know alot of people have had on this forum before but I still cannot get around it.
sessions just don't seem to work, PHP writes the session files to the directory I set (c:/PHP/sessiondata) but there is no data in them, they are empty files. Even with this happening it doesn't show any errors at all, it just...forgets so to speak.
For example I downloaded some popular scripts which I know work such as XMB forums. I try to login, it loads a page and then next page just forgets that I have logged in. It's saving stuff in the MySQL db fine.
So I'm baffled, I've tried everything,
tell you what I'll even attach my PHP ini file so if anyone is kind enough to look at it they might know what the deal is.
My php directory has script writing permissions and execute permissions. (I'm not worried about security at this stage)
One part of my brain makes me think it's a permissions issue, because I've seen the problem on a general windows network where users save files and the file saves with no data. the other part of my brain says no way the directory has full access.
Hope someone can help cause I'm stumped.
Running Windows XP Pro, IIS 5.1, PHP 4.3.1.
cheers,
