User status on the board

What do all the different states mean? For instance, you start off as Junior Member, go to Member, then Senior Member. Are all of them based upon post counts? If so, that's not a very accurate way. I've been a member of this board for only a few days, and I'm a senior member already.

Why do some people have custom states, as well?

Yes it's done by the number of posts. I think it goes something like this:

0-50 Junior Member
50-100 Member
100+ Senior member

Above that, I don't know.

I think the custom title option only kicks in when you've been registered for a certain length of time, cos I remember getting really confused cos it wasn't working for me, then suddenly it was.

I was wondering why there was no way to make a custom one (yet). And I think Junior Member ends at 30.

You'll get the option for a custom title after 30 days.

There have been issues on other boards where people don't quite get the nettiquette in the first week and they start trouble with provocative titles. This is just a way to help counter that.
