What is a domainname worth?

Hello!

I was offered $70 for developerlance.com, how should I know if that is a fair bid?

Am I giving it away for that price?

Is there any sites where people can buy and sells domain names where i can look to have a clue?

There are numerous domain brokers around, but there are also some that offer "appraisal" services:
http://www.afternic.com/appraise.php ($19.95 for appraisal)
http://www.domainstrue.com/appraise-domain-names.html ($55 for appraisal)
http://www.domainmart.com/DomainNames/agent/appraisal/appraisal_enter.html ($75 min. for appraisal)

Too bad registers do not provide a count of how many poeple tried to buy domainabc123.com so you could get a real idea of what yours is worth.

Maybe you could write VeriSign and see if they could tell you that. The will probably want some ungodly amount of money though, as they are evil. $1400 for a damned SSL cert, what a ripoff!

I have one intrested buyer that offered me $50, and when I didnt reply to that ASAP(I was not at the computer...), he sent me a new mail with a bid with of $70 just one hour lately..., So that is my concern, maybe it is worth way much more, I just haven't found the right buyer...

Not easy to know.... 😕

I bought it for 9$, so I guess I should be happy for the bid( I can think 14 moer days on it before he needs an answer), but....money talks....
