File upload across 2 pages

I'm trying to upload files across pages. What I mean by this is:

User fills out a form with other listing data, selects the files to upload and clicks submit.
The data is then all taken and a preview is shown. The files being uploaded (photos) are not required at this time and so I don't want them to be uploaded.
The user can accept their listing and their data will be committed to a database, this is the point at which I want the file to be uploaded.
The user can alternatively be returned to the first page to edit their data and select different photos to upload.

Basically what I require is for the file upload data to maintain state across 2 or so pages, with the files only being uploaded when the listing is accepted.

BTW, the reason I wish to do this is because if the photos are uploaded when the user previews the listing then if their computer crashes during the process or they just close their browser window, the server will get clogged up with useless photos.

This is the way I see it: you'll have to upload it, allow it to download, then delete it. The problem is, you don't know how long it takes them to download it. If you delete the file midway, they won't be able to see all of it.
A little workaround would be to display the image directly off their hard drive, but that only works on some browsers.

If you're on linux, you could just have a cron job set up to erase all the junk photos after they're uploaded.

The way I've decided to manage it is that the photos are uploaded to a temp directory when the listing preview is shown. When the listing is edited the photos can be deleted or new ones uploaded.

When the listing is saved the photos are moved from the temp directory to a permanent directory.

A PHP script is run by cron every half-hour to delete any photos left in the temp directory.

i did a similar thing, i have a page to let user to upload picture(gif, jpeg, etc), Real file.

when you user upload the file, the file name is passed to a list box, then i have a preview button, so they can preview what they uploaded. if they want to delete the file, they can go back to edit screen. do they can select files to delete in the list box.
