email boxes for users?

I have users information stored in mySQL and would like to create mailbox for users. So they can send messages to each other via database based email box. Each user should have own mail box.
Any idea how this can be done (PHP3).

Im not quite sure exactly what you mean here...are you thinking more of a personal message board, and not an email?

If so, assuming that the users login to your site, this is fairly simple. let the user sending the message select who the message goes to, and write the message to the table with the receiving users ID. When the receiving user opens up his message box, show all messages that have their ID as the receiving ID...nothing complex
