Building a form...

Hello i was wondering about building a form like this one here...

I mean Post New Thread form where you have buttons like B I U and so on. How do i do them so they apear in the textbox like they do and with the code

So if i hit B it will popup a window asking for the text and then place it here with these tags <b>hello</b> and not the hello

Do anyone know of any good tutorials on this that can help me?

Tutorials in the end, while free, and of plenty,are pointless. Get a book. And I suggest the PHP bible, although it is 50$ 🙂

the popup window is a javascript popup - that will either put you off the idea totally or you'll have a new area to research!

also, this uses tags within square brackets to achieve the same effect, so you could try working from that.

I'm not going to do it for you, but I hope this puts you in the right direction!

Yeah i know it's Javascript and it's a new area for me, just need some pointers and so, so i know what i'm up against 🙂
