Network Drive

Ok, this is what I am trying to do...

I want to install a file managing program like this...

The only weird thing is that, I don't want the user to be able to download the files, just view the contents of the directory, and the other thing is the folder I want to display is on a network drive... Is this possible? If so, I would appreciate some help 😛

Ok, a little more detail...

In the code is has this..

processDir("../.."); // the magic function!

the above tells the code what DIR to display, right now its 2 levels above the current correct?

The main problem is that I want it to be a networked drive...

I.E. z:\

I know absolutely no PHP so I dont know if it would be something like

$drive|z:/ har har, anywho I think that gets what I'm lookin for a little better

Ok, I went thru the code and unliked all the files, so now you can just view the DIR, but I still need to know how to refrence different drive, or if it is even possible

It appears that opendir() can't open directories over a network or on mapped network drives in Windows 2000.

$handle = opendir("c:\");
will work, but the following code won't:

$handle = opendir("p:\");
p: is the mapped network drive that I want to access.

and then there is this...

Accessing a networked drive may require you to change Apache from being logged in a System to being logged in as a user who has access to that drive.

then this is down even farther

doing opendir() on a mapped network drive seems to work, > like:
opendir("z:\"); works, but:
opendir("\Someone\Somedir") doesn't, although it's generally the same destination...

opendir("\Someone\Somedir"); can't work, because of escaping. Either you must do
opendir("\\Someone\Somedir"); or
opendir('\Someone\Somedir');
Don't know if it runs, haven't got an IIS server...

well if its a mapped network drive (lettered P) try

$handle = opendir("\(computer name here)(real drive letter)");

in XP on my sharing, it wont let me change the name of the shared letter from DISORDER (D) to just D, so it will be like this

\disorder\d ... instead of

\disorder\disorder (d)

in the sharing dialogue box it wont let me edit the name, any ideas?
