PHP on Windows

I have developed a number of sites utilising mySQL database on a Linux server. I am now moving the websites to a Windows Platform to take advantage of the ASP, PHP, SQL and mySQL package.

Is there any info on problems with moving platforms with regards to coding practice. Basically I am hoping i will move my php pages and database to Windows and all will run, hopeful thinking you say :-)

The obvious ones i know such as linux being case sensitive and Windows not so other than that I am presuming the best.

I only know, that if you're running MySQL and PHP on Linux, you should be able to run your same pages and db's on Windows MySQL and PHP. I had no problems moving my data and pages from Linux to W2K Pro.

There are little differences. For example, the newline

Linux: \n
Windows: \r\n
Macintosh: \r

I don't think you'll have any significant problems though. It should be a smooth switch.

Actually, it depends what you're using. For instance, if you use just "\n" in imagettftext, you'll notice that it keeps the same distance from the left, but puts in a line break. If you use \r\n, it will work correctly.
