Notice: Undefined variable

Hello.

I just reinstalled php, and as a result running scripts that use to work now come with an error

Notice: Undefined variable: timezone . Where timezone is the name of a variable.

I know its something to do with global variables which i have turned on in my php.ini file. but it still dont work 🙁

Any help would be of great help.
