kinda weird php question

hey all ive got a kinda weird question here... dont know if its even possible.. but i thought id give it a try

on the game half life, when you goto multiplayer and see a server list or in gamespy or kali they have list of servers

is there a way to access that list from a php script, like have an id number, ip, ping, name of server

stored in an array in php and put into a table into the html doc

think anything like that is possible..?
if so can anyone give me idea how to do it

Well, I'm assuming it keeps all of that information available on a port on the server. You could connect, through PHP, to that port, read the information that is being sent, record it, and output it. It would require some socket programming, and the knowledge of how the information is not only sent, but where it is stored.

You could probably find out how and where it is stored, if you searched.
