giving parameters through between 2 pages

Hi, I'm not familiar in working with PHP, but I have to make a project now. My problem is this:

In page 1 I give 'doc' through like this:

<a href=docente.php?doc=<?echo $linhadocente["id_doc"];

How can I in the next page put it in $doc? Because on Windows it is necessary to declare variables:

If you pass the var in the query string then is there and ready to be used in the page you just opened. If you are having trouble, check to make sure you don't make use of that var elsewhere on the page.

Also, put some " around that query string unless you know the var will not contain spaces.

BTW, you can also do shorthand:
<a href="docente.php?doc=<?=$linhadocente["id_doc"];?>">blah</a>

Thank you for your solution, but I can't do it like that. In Linux Apache it workes, but I have to magrate to Windows IIS and I have to declare al the variables on the page...

Wow, I did not realize that windows didn't let you pass vars through query strings. That is messed up...

Anway, I don't think I totally understand. If you must delcare all your variables then forms could not pass data either. What about cookies and sessions?

Is it ALL vars, or just none from the query string? If all vars are truly no allowed, then I don't know how you could pass the info at all. You couldn't trigger any event because vars that determine the event wouldn't be passed.

Is this what you mean? Sorry, guess I've been spoiled by nix.
