Auto-forward with a timer

Is there an easy way to set say a counter for 20 seconds showing a page that then jumps to the next page? Like the way the post page works, it shows the "Your message is bieng added" or whatever this one says, then forward you to the next page when you post a topic.

I know there's probably a way to do this in javascript, but is there an easy way to do it in PHP?

its not javascript, and all the php does is generate the html, so php cant do it either - just use HTML:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;url=http://www.google.com/">

just change the number before the url to the number of seconds that you want to wait

I thought there may be some sort of header you can send the browser, and im sure javascript has a way to count the ammount of seconds, but i never thought there was a way to do it in plain HTML. Thanks very much!
